All lift tickets will be distributed at the demo from the tent marked "Lift Tickets".  No tickets will be provided at the Salt Palace.

All registered retailers and media will receive a complimentary limited access lift ticket* (Eagle Express Lift) to demo exhibitor product at AMD.  Please make sure to bring your ID and credit card information in order to secure demo product.  We are no longer utilizing demo cards, so in order to test product, exhibitors may require ID and credit card information.  Please keep in mind, product is for demo'ing only.  If you intend to ride / ski all day, please bring your own equipment.

*If you wish to upgrade your limited access lift ticket to an all-mountain lift ticket, please note the fee will be $15 per ticket upgrade.

2012 Registration

Attendees must proceed into the registration area at the Salt Palace Convention Center to pick up their badge holders, and/or register. All AMD attendees must sign a waiver prior to boarding the demo shuttle busses.

Avalaunch is teaming up with Be Snow Smart and the Utah Avalanche Center to host the Beacon Search Area at the All-Mountain Demo at Solitude Ski Area. See if you can beat Dean Cummings’ time in the park and win great gear and Blackalicious tickets.

2012 Nordic Challenge

Experience the latest in Nordic technology with the AMD Nordic Challenge.  Test the newest equipment and participate in an exciting and challenging course for the opportunity to win cool swag and prizes from OR exhibitors.

Shuttles will run continuously throughout the day from the entrance to the demo to the Solitude Nordic Track area.

Be Snow Smart, on-show Demo Edition

Presenter: Dean Cummings
Location:  H2o Outdoor Gear at 11:00am

Join iconic Big Mountain skier and Alaska heliskiing pioneer Dean Cummings for a session designed to bring to life the lessons of his award-winning Be Snow Smart avalanche education program. Participants will learn on-the-go, top-to-bottom terrain assessment techniques, how to make the best backcountry decisions based on Dean's cardinal Three Strikes rules and other practical tips. Even for veterans with years of formal avalanche training attest, Dean's approach boils down the most important considerations for backcountry skiing into practical, memorable tips that will help keep you and your partners safer.

Marker Technician Area

With a heritage dating back to 1952, Marker's 60 years of making the mountains more enjoyable is marked by some of the most significant innovations in skiing history. No matter what kind of skiing you like to do, Marker will help you Rule the Mountain.

AMD Bash

Moonbeam Lodge at Solitude 4:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Unwind from a busy day on the mountain and kick off the night with a cold beer, hot bowl of chili and fresh tunes at the AMD Bash! Located on the 2nd floor of the Moonbeam Lodge, warm up indoors and connect with fellow AMD participants.

The last shuttle leaves Solitude at 6:15pm sharp – don’t miss it!

Directions to Solitude

From the Salt Palace Convention Center, get onto I-15 S/I-80 E via the ramp to Las Vegas/Cheyenne.  Take a slight left onto I-15 S and take exit 298 to merge onto I-215 E/Belt Route, then take exit 6 for UT-190 E toward 3000 E.  Turn right onto UT-190 E/S Cottonwood Canyon Rd, continue to follow UT-190 E. Turn left onto UT-190 E/Big Cottonwood Cyn Rd, continue to follow UT-190 E.  Continue onto E Big Cottonwood Canyon Rd      and then turn right into the parking lot.  Demo is located at the far, right end of the parking lot.

Helly Hansen - AMD Official Base Layer
“Give us yours and we’ll give you ours”

Helly Hansen upgraded almost 600 baselayers to Helly Hansen HHWarm on at the All Mountain Demo. The first 200 Retailers received a new baselayer free.  The next 400 people either donated $10 to LifeTurns or stripped down and gave up their old next to skin layer and upgraded to HHWarm.

Helly Hansen collected over $3,000 for Life Turns. Life Turns is an organization that inspires children living with medical challenges to transform their lives by immersing them in the positive experiences of the outdoors. Kids get to attend week long camps for free giving them the opportunity to build friendships and participate in outdoor activities. (http://lifeturns.org/)
Helly Hansen donated the baselayers attendees gave up to the Salt Lake City Rescue Mission. There were an estimated 100 baselayers given to the mission.
