Magellan GPS Treasure Hunt
Enjoy the adventure of the Magellan~ GPS Treasure Hunt at Open Air Demo and experience the latest in GPS technology. Come and test the newest Magellan handhelds or bring your own GPS receiver to search for hidden treasures along a fun and exciting geocaching course.  Great prizes await you, including a chance to win your very own Magellan GPS and other outdoor gear

Climbing at OAD 10am and 1pm
Utah Mountain Adventures--(formerly Exum Utah Mountain Adventures) will conduct Climbing Clinics at the OR Open Air Demo at 10:00a.m. and 1:00p.m. Beginner through expert-level climbers will be shuttled to various crags along the Ogden River, offering short approaches to high-quality Quartzite climbs from 5.6-5.13.  Plenty of shade is available if its hot, and overhanging lines can be enjoyed even if its rainy.  UMA guides will equip the routes and oversee belaying, knots, etc. with safety and fun as the primary goals. Any gear needed will be provided by UMA, including shoes, harnesses, helmets, ropes and hardware. Wear appropriate clothing and approach shoes, and bring a light rain jacket, snacks, and water.

SkirtChaser Trail Run hosted by SkirtSports
Don’t miss out! Join SkirtSports for the 2009 SkirtChaser Trail Run at Pineview Reservoir, 11 am, July 20. Modeled after the national SkirtChaser tour, women will start first and men “SkirtChasers” will start two minutes later. The run is approximately 2 miles (or so!) with an extra “loop” for runners who just can’t get enough. Hang out afterward for food, beer and a SkirtSports fashion show (down to the Skivvies!). Vie for the titles of Queen of the Skirts and King of the Chasers, granting you bragging rights and some sweet free stuff!  So get your ass in gear and join us for the SkirtChaser Trail Run, where running, flirting and beer collide. Don’t miss out on the chance to meet your future spouse (if single, be sure to wear a SkirtChaser sticker)!

WATSATCH WHITEWATER CHUTE-OUT

Whitewater Chute Out Demo 10am-1pm
A true whitewater demo experience returns to the OAD with the Second Annual Wasatch Whitewater Chuteout. Your chance to try whitewater kayaks in the environment they were designed for. The Chute-Out will be held July 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the Ogden River just downriver of the OAD at Pineview Reservoir. Free shuttles will run between Pineview & the river venue. We've got the boats. Limited supplies of loaner gear may be available so best to bring your own gear.

DIRECTIONS

To Snowbasin Resort Port Ramp Property, Pineview Reservoir from Salt Lake City.
From SLC, go North on I-15. Exit #324 onto I-89 just past the Lagoon in Farmington. Continue North to I-84 East towards Huntsville. Exit at Huntsville/Mountain Green, exit #92. Make a Right onto Old Highway. Make sure to follow signs directing you to Snowbasin Ski Resort. Turn North (left) onto Trappers Loop Rd. 167 at the Sinclair Gas Station. Turn Left onto SR 39 towards the dam. At the Spillway (dam) make a Right onto SR 158. Continue for about 2 miles and Snowbasin Port Ramp Property will be on your right.

Take the new FrontRunner train from SLC to Ogden for the Open Air Demo for free with your OR show badge. Stop by the Salt Palace to register and receive your badge, hop on the Trax trolley to the SL Central Station and enjoy the hour long ride to Ogden.

As an exhibitor of Outdoor Retailer Open Air Demo, I understand and will abide by the following. If not, I understand that Nielsen Business Media staff has the right to terminate your OAD booth and ask you to leave the demo immediately.

Appropriate equipment, including PFD must be worn at all times when on the water.
No drugs or alcohol are to be consumed while on the water using equipment.
Nielsen Business Media management reserves the right to close the demo, or a particular booth, if things become unsafe (wind, current, reckless behavior, etc.)
Nielsen Business Media management reserves the right to screen participants to ensure appropriate skill and experience.
