DIRECTIONS
To Snowbasin Resort Port Ramp Property, Pineview Reservoir from Salt Lake City.
From SLC, go North on I-15. Exit #324 onto I-89 just past the
Lagoon in Farmington. Continue North to I-84 East towards Huntsville.
Exit at Huntsville/Mountain Green, exit #92. Make a Right onto Old
Highway. Make sure to follow signs directing you to Snowbasin Ski
Resort. Turn North (left) onto Trappers Loop Rd. 167 at the Sinclair
Gas Station. Turn Left onto SR 39 towards the dam. At the Spillway
(dam) make a Right onto SR 158. Continue for about 2 miles and
Snowbasin Port Ramp Property will be on your right.
Urgent Update (7/22/08):
We have learned that there will be a 24 hour road closure on I-80
beginning August 9th @ 4:00 p.m. continuing until 4:00 p.m. on August
10, 2008. The official suggested alternative route to reach Salt Lake
City from Park City (which will be indicated with detour signage) is to
take I-84 through Weber Canyon. This is the officially recommended
detour. However, this route involves going away from Park City in order
to reach I-84 and probably adds 1 hour to the trip to Salt Lake.
As an alternative, you can also take the Guardsman Pass route. It
involves a small amount of unpaved road that's not too bad. The road is
a back way out of Deer Valley which leads to Big Cottonwood Canyon. It
is very scenic and would save a lot of extra miles from the Utah
Department of Transportation proposed detour.
