Paddle Pedal Challenge, presented by H2O Overdrive and Outdoor Retailer
Between 9AM - 3PM: A time trial event, the first ever Paddle Pedal Challenge, where attendees will complete a short standup paddleboard course, followed by a 2.5-mile bike leg on a mix of pavement and dirt trails. Points will be awarded based on finishing times and can be redeemed for prizes.

For those of you who already know how to fly fish there will be a casting competition throughout the day, with winners every hour. 2:00 p.m. Race Start
Get into the aloha spirit on Demo Day as Xcel, Honolua, and VonZipper present LEI'D AT THE LAKE, a winner-take-all standup paddle sprint relay guaranteed to induce some shakas. This Hawaiian-themed race continues the rich tradition of last year's "Break for the Lake," with 4-person teams of retailers and buyers battling it out for a winner-take-all prize pack including a free full page advertisement in Standup Paddle Magazine and gear from Honolua and VonZipper. Free race entry, Xcel jerseys, and great giveaways for all teams. Dust off your best - or worst! - aloha shirt and join us for some serious SUP action and plenty kine fun.
Brooks-Range Mountaineering Orienteering Race 
Get a taste of orienteering and learn how to utilize the latest Map Tool from Brooks-Range Mountaineering. Checkpoint Tracker Adventure Racing will be available to give you a quick how-to clinic on how to use the Brooks-Range Map Tool. Then you can participate in a friendly orienteering race to see who the best navigator is at the open air demo. The mini clinics will start on the hour and you can race the orienteering course anytime during demo day. Whether you're there to win or to work on your map skills you'll be entered to win prizes from Brooks-Range.
Trail Runner's It’s A Shore Thing Trail Run

Trail Runner magazine and Helly Hansen invite you on a scenic trail run guaranteed to lift your spirits. This trail run is informal, with a start time of 9:30 a.m. and a distance just under 5K. As a benefit for GECKO, a Colorado non-profit dedicated to “Giving Every Child Knowledge of the Outdoors,” there is a $10 donation requested at sign-up. Although day of registration is available at Open Air Demo one hour before start (8:30 a.m. at the Helly Hansen booth), we encourage you to sign up in advance. All participants will receive a Helly Hansen HH®Dry™ baselayer top with with LIFA® Stay Dry technology ($40 value) as well as an HH schwag bag filled with goodies from Trail Runner partners. Registration
Attendees must proceed into the registration area at the Salt Palace Convention Center to pick up their badge holders and/or register. All Open Air Demo attendees must sign a waiver prior to boarding the demo shuttle busses.
Directions to Jordanelle
From the Salt Palace Convention Center, get on the I-15 South/I-80 East towards Las Vegas/Cheyenne. Merge onto the I-80 East via exit 304, toward Cheyenne. You will continue on the I-80 East for about 25 miles. Take the US-40 East exit, exit 146 toward Heber/Vernal. Merge onto the US-40 East and continue on this road for about 8 miles. Exit Mayflower, exit 8, and follow signs towards Jordanelle State Park. You will make a left onto S.R 319 and it will take you directly into the park.
Complimentary Shuttle Service
Shuttles will run from downtown hotels to the Salt Palace, approximately every hour from 6:30 – 11:30am. Attendees will then proceed to Registration at the Salt Palace to either pick up their badge holders and/or register. All Open Air Demo event attendees must be registered for the Summer Market 2011 Show, sign a waiver and get a wristband
