Stanley, the iconic brand that’s fueled outdoor enthusiasts and working professionals since 1913, has teamed up with Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2009 to sponsor the Stanley eCycle Exchange. Participating is easy.
| THE GOAL The goal of the Stanley eCycle Exchange is to collect and recycle old PC water bottles to ensure that they do not end up in land fills. Summer Market attendees who bring in their old PC bottles for recycling can exchange them for a Stanley nineteen13™ Stainless Steel Water Bottle, or a Stanley nineteen13 Recycled and Recyclable Mug. We’ll also tell you how Stanley turns recycled plastic into eCycle recycled and recyclable plastic mugs, like the nineteen13 one available in the exchange. WHAT BOTTLES CAN BE EXCHANGED? In order to recycle the bottles, we can only accept clean and dry polycarbonate bottles. WHAT BOTTLES CAN NOT BE EXCHANGED? We can not recycle any bottles made with non-polycarbonate plastics such as squeeze bottles or disposable water bottles. WHERE DO THE BOTTLES GO? The PC bottles collected as part of the Stanley eCycle Exchange will be sorted, recycled and then used to make new consumer products. Show attendees who do not bring a PC bottle to be recycled will be able to get the Recycled & Recyclable Mug or Stainless Steel Water Bottles in exchange for $10 donation to the Conservation Alliance. WHERE DO I BRING MY OLD PC BOTTLE? Bring your PC water bottle to the OR show and drop it off either at the Stanley eCycle Exchange desk by the top of the main escalators or to the Stanley booth # 12036. WHERE WILL MY OLD PC BOTTLE GET RECYCLED? We will send your bottle to a recycler we work with here in the US to ensure that all parts of your bottle are recycled into new consumer products. WHAT WILL I GET IN EXCHANGE FOR MY BOTTLE? In exchange for your old PC bottle, you will get a choice between a Stanley’s nineteen13™ Stainless Steel Water Bottle and a Stanley nineteen13 Recycled and Recyclable mug. CAN I STILL PARTICIPATE IN THE EXCHANGE IF DON’T HAVE A BOTTLE? Yes. Show attendees who did not bring a PC bottle to be recycled will be able to get a nineteen13™ Stainless Steel Water Bottle or nineteen13 Recycled and Recyclable Mug in exchange for a $10 donation to the Conservation Alliance. WHAT IS ECYCLE®?  eCycle is PMI’s proprietary mix of post-consumer recycled plastics. eCycle comes in two varieties— polycarbonate (which is used on non food contact surfaces) and polypropylene.
